He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. He uses his education and training to help his patients lose weight to improve their health and well-being. Dr. Hoelscher enjoys hiking, cycling/running, camping, golfing and watching football.

Dr Hoelscher listens to concerns and you don't feel rushed

The doctor was on auto-pilot and was a very poor listener. He did not ask about what work I have done in this area already. He was judgmental about the responses I did give. When I tried to explain my work circumstances, he asked if I had thought about another career. He talked to me like I was 10 instead of treating me like a professional and a person. I would not recommend him to any other individual working on obesity and weight issues. Terrible experience.
