Mercy Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Ricky Maddox, M.D. to Mercy Specialty Clinic – Clinton. Dr. Maddox is board certified in General Surgery and has been in the Clinton area for 22 years.
Dr. Maddox has worked with Mercy since 2013 as the Medical Director for Mercy Wound Care Center. In private practice, he has cared for patients in the Clinton and Quad City area. Having earned his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, he subsequently completed Residencies for general surgery, chief surgery and chief administrative at The University of Health Sciences at The Chicago Medical School. Dr. Maddox has participated in research for the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center and is a published author of several professional articles.
Dr. Maddox brings exceptional care to patients seeking advanced hernia surgery, breast care, Varicose vein care, treatment for thyroid and adrenal gland conditions, laparoscopic surgeries, and surgical care for diseases of the esophagus, small intestine, colon and rectum, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen.

Dr. Maddox began clinic hours in the beginning of November. To accommodate patient care, a wing of fourth floor of Mercy North Campus will be renovated as an extension of the Specialty Clinic offices.
