MHN Is Blessed to Have the Support of Two of the Nation’s Largest and Best Health Systems

Mercy Health Network (MHN) is a joint operating agreement between two of the largest Catholic, not-for-profit health organizations in the United States. Catholic Health Initiatives and Trinity Health are MHN’s parent companies.

Map of Catholic Health Initiatives locationsCatholic Health Initiatives, based in Englewood, Colorado, operates 104 hospitals and hundreds of other health facilities. It works in 17 states from Pennsylvania to the Pacific Coast.

The facilities include four academic health centers and major teaching hospitals, as well as 30 critical-access facilities. CHI has community health services, accredited nursing colleges, home-health agencies, living communities and other services with inpatient, outpatient and home care.

CHI shows its mission every day. It creates and nurtures healthy communities in sites across the nation. As a ministry of the Catholic Church, CHI’s vision is to lead the transformation of health care. Our goal is to achieve optimal health and well-being for all we serve, especially the poor and vulnerable.

CHI’s Mission and Ministry Fund supports the overall health of communities. It has provided more than 480 grants for more than $74 million since 1996.

It has 93 hospitals and 120 continuing-care locations, including home care, hospice, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and senior living facilities. It provides nearly 2.5 million visits annually.
