Health Initiatives was created in 1996 through the merger of
three healthcare systems: Catholic Health Corporation of Omaha,
NE; Franciscan Health System of Philadelphia, PA; and the Sisters
of Charity Health Care System, Cincinnati, OH.
Two systems later merged with Catholic Health Initiatives
the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Health System, Bardstown, KY;
and the Sisters of St. Francis of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Hankinson, ND.
